About
Worldly, politically active, politically correct, sophisticated, tall, and gorgeous - NOPE. None of those things. Not me. My name is Linda and I live at the base of the Olympic Mountains in a very, very small town on the waters of Hood Canal in Washington State. My husband and I live in a large house filled with antiques and are totally surrounded by beauty. Beautiful but a little lonely after living in the Seattle area for years and years and working in a extremely demanding job. So, no longer working (after being diagnosed with a brain tumor), I have turned to crafts (I prefer to call it Art) so I can satisfy my obsessive compulsive needs.
I am the creator of Bayou Bunnies and you can find my shop at BayouBunnies.etsy.com. I did not wake up one morning and say, “Self, why don’t you figure out how to make miniature bunnies and dress them in vintage clothes.” Having more bad days than good, it all came about slowly and with lots of trial and error. As my bunnies have gotten better, so have I and my tumor is now in remission.
I have so much I want to accomplish and so many ideas. If my shop expanded as quickly as my ideas - well, there just aren’t that many hours in a day or days in a year. I’m now trying to develop ideas of making things that are practical and useable while still staying true to my original idea.
I’m probably rambling on to no one (are you there?) but that’s why my daughter set this blog up for me. So I can ramble on and on and on and …………. I have a slight headache. I think all those little idea critters are swinging off my brain, jumping on my brain stem, and bouncing against the walls of my head. Just stop it little guys! Stop it right now. Hey, I’m talking to you.
